I finally found the perfect balance between battery life and performance on a Windows laptop

There are multiple ways to access and modify power settings in Windows 10. Power settings in Windows 10 control how your device manages energy consumption, performance, and sleep behavior. Understanding power plans, sleep states, and advanced settings enables optimization for specific workflows while maintaining system reliability. Effective Windows power and sleep configuration balances system performance with energy efficiency based on individual usage requirements. Advanced power settings provide expert-level control over hardware power management and system behavior.

Create hybrid power schemes by combining elements from different default plans. These advanced configurations help you maximize both performance and energy efficiency across your managed devices. To check battery health, run the Windows battery report by typing “powercfg /batteryreport” in Command Prompt. This diagnostic tool identifies common power management issues and provides specific recommendations for resolution. If problems persist, generate a power efficiency report by running “powercfg /energy” in an elevated Command Prompt.

Go beyond the default to truly balance battery and performance

On April 9, 2025, YouTube expressed support for the NO FAKES Act of 2025, introduced by Senator Chris Coons (D-DE) and Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), and announced an expansion of its pilot program that is designed to identify content generated by AI. Some YouTube videos have themselves had a direct effect on world events, such as Innocence of Muslims (2012) which spurred protests and related anti-American violence internationally. Concurrently, old media celebrities moved into the website at the invitation of a YouTube management that witnessed early content creators accruing substantial followings and perceived audience sizes potentially larger than that attainable by television.
